Dr. Mark Litton Cogburn and Dr. Maximiliano Sorbellini were married Sept. 9 in Astoria, Queens. David Deutsch, a Universal Life Church minister, officiated at the Museum of the Moving Image.
Dr. Cogburn, 32, is the urology chief resident at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. He graduated from the University of Florida and received a medical degree from Florida State University.
He is a son of Dianne F. Cogburn and Dr. William E. Cogburn of Venice, Fla. Mr. Cogburn’s mother is a private nutrition and wellness consultant in Venice. His father is an internist in Venice for Millenium physician group.
Dr. Sorbellini, 41, is the director of urologic oncology and the associate medical director of the Lefcourt Family Cancer and Wellness Center of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in Englewood, N.J. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati and received a medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx.
He is the son of Liliana M. Quevedo of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and Carlos A. Sorbellini of Buenos Aires. Mr. Sorbellini’s mother is a language interpreter in Wilkes-Barre. His father retired as a manager and product consultant at James Smart, a men’s clothing store, in Buenos Aires.
The couple met in May 2016 in San Diego at an annual meeting of the American Urological Association.
